Rose and Jack were married on March 31st, with a ceremony and reception at the Old Forest School just outside of Rotorua in Bay of Plenty.
On the morning of the wedding, Jay went to Jack, while Lena went to Rose to capture those “getting ready” images of the day. Rose was at a beautiful holiday house by the beach in Pukehina, while Jack was getting ready not too far away in a different house. We made sure to get plenty of shots with not only the bridesmaids and groomsmen, but also Rose with her mom and dad as they helped her prep for the big day!
From there, it was off to the ceremony, where Jack completely stole the show with his heart on his sleeve. He could hardly hold in his happy tears when he saw Rose walking down the aisle. His emotions were shining through for the entire ceremony. It was so touching to witness, and we made certain to capture those precious tears so these two will always remember the purity of those feelings.
We also loved how Jack and Rose secured a lock together before throwing the key into the forest. The lock had their names engraved on it, and was a symbol of their enduring love. What a wonderful gesture to symbolize the strength of their union!
These two had an amazing grasp of the finer details, the little things that hold true meaning in moments like this, and we were so impressed with everything they poured into the day, including the flowers that Rose organized with her family and friends.
This bride and groom are from Auckland, but they decided to have their wedding at the Old Forest School because they fell in love with the venue, and we can see why. It was absolutely stunning! The Old Forest School was a Bay of Plenty wedding photographer’s dream when it came to places to shoot. For example, there was a tennis field, where Rose and Jack had a game with their bridal party, as well as the school itself that we were able to explore for pictures. We found a big old rustic shed, a tree swing... we really were spoiled for places to photograph these two.
Thank you, Rose & Jack, for letting us be part of your special time. We know that your love for each other will only continue to grow. After spending time with you and your loved ones, we know you have the most amazing people rooting for you and supporting you. Congratulations!
